Titusville, Fla Titusville has always been an eco-friendly town and is known for its undeveloped coast surrounded by 57,000 acres of relatively undisturbed wilderness. Earlier this year, downtown Titusville formed a Sea Turtle Committee with members from the nationally famous Space Coast Birding and Wildlife
Festival. Other members are from the National Park Services, local artists, hotels, area businesses and residents.
The committee decided to host its first Sea Turtle Festival this year.
The festival begins Thursday, June 23 with an Artists Welcome at Holiday Inn, Fairfield Inn, Quality Inn and Ramada Inn. A complimentary
shuttle service for all guests ensures no one will miss a display.
Beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, a Junior Ranger camp will run for two hours for pre-enrolled children and from 2-3 p.m. a ranger from the Canaveral National Seashore will be available at the Downtown Gallery at 335 S. Washington Ave. to answer questions. The Titusville Municipal Marina, at 451 Marina Road, will host a Family Fish Fry and Water Fun evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Downtown Gallery will hold a Wine & Art exhibit from 6 to10 p.m. On Saturday, Titusville will host the Inaugural Titusville Sea Turtle Street Festival.
